The food was very good! The Jalapeño poppers were spicy and delicious. The quesadillas, ceviche and margaritas were excellent. Loved the atmosphere. Had dinner inside and came back for lunch on the patio. Our server for both meals was Kristin and she was excellent! We will be back!
The perfect little Mexican eatery right in the heart of Clearwater Beach. Great decor and vibe, delicious food, especially enjoyed the homemade guacamole (this is everything at a Mexican restaurant and theirs did not disappoint). Skinny margarita was on point without compromising what makes a margarita delicious. Mia, our server, was wonderful. Such a great disposition and so thoughtful from start to finish. Thank you for a great experience. We'll definitely be returning!
We tried the fajitas because other reviews were so complimentary.... And watched (and heard) plate after plate of sizzling fajitas leave the kitchen. Guess they're pretty popular! We got the chicken + steak and basically licked the cast iron clean. I think there's a teriyaki baste on the meat? Then the fixings were absolutely perfect (tortillas, crema, lettuce, tomato). We each had two Kicking Mules as well, which is a Moscow mule with jalapeno-infused vodka. Perfect ratio of heat and sweet, and the wonderful bartender told us she infused it herself! Thank you for the lovely dinner and hospitality, especially so soon after two devastating hurricanes.
Stopped by around 3pm for a late lunch and it was fairly quiet. Their salmon tostado is a very large plate and very filling. Their guacamole is OKAY. Margarita was a little sweet and hubby ordered the steak and surf burrito which was good. Service was quick and our waiter was very friendly. Kids ordered dirt cups which came with the kids meal and they liked it.

The Fiesta Bowl with Mexican rice perfectly showcases the restaurant's commitment to authentic Mexican cuisine. Each ingredient was expertly crafted and thoughtfully combined, resulting in a dish that left me craving more. Solid choice! Renee from the bar was our server at lunch and she gave us great personalized recommendations and was very attentive. Overall Service was great.
Stopped here to enjoy an afternoon snack and drinks while we were walking the beach areas. Our waitress was also a bartender and super helpful and friendly! We could not decide between the nachos with pork or the fresh guacamole. She recommended we order the nachos and get a side of guac. We also ordered a basket of chips and jalapeño margaritas. Everything was SO good! The margaritas had fresh jalapeños and the nachos and guac were excellent and so flavorful! We had so much food we didn't have room to order the fajitas we wanted for lunch. Excellent food, service and location right off the beach and strip!

They even have an amazingly cool statement art installation made with the tequila bottles. The lively atmosphere is perfect for unwinding and letting loose. The spacious bar area is located on the street level of The Hilton Clearwater Beach and is connected to the hotel for guests. No matter what kind of experience you're looking for, The Spotted Donkey Cantina has something for everyone and is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Clearwater Beach.
